FERAFERIA SEASONAL FESTIVALS:
In the Temple of Persephone and Aphrodite,
Feraferia presents the Seasonal Festivals of Quarters and Cross-Quarters plus a ninth for Cosmos.
In 1998, by chance, Phaedrus and Fred (Mc Llaren) Adams learned to know each other. Together with Lady Svetlana, they started working on the final edition of
the 'Nine Royal Passions', a project of nine yearly festivals for a pagan celebration of the year. The project took several years to get all the texts, diagrams and ideas
together the way they wanted to preserve them for the future. During the project there was a lot of communication about the content and idelas behind the texts, the
translation of these texts into Dutch, but also about the way they should be made available to the world. It was Fred's wish that these texts should
always be available for free, so we decided to put it all on the internet some time.
Hélas, Fred didn't live to see the project realised, but in remembrance to him, Lady Svetlana, and all those who stood beside them, we will now offer their texts and
creations to the world at last. Beginning with Ostara, may they be a source of hope and inspiration for the future. Kore Bless!!

DEVOTED TO ARRETOS KOURA : THE CREATRIX OF UNIVERSE AND DIVINITIES.
"The Festival of Inner Cosmic Proprioception. The time of emptiness and return to the raw elements.
Under gathering quilts of crystals, the Goddess sleeps alone.
Completely enfolded within Her, the God of Time summons strength for the birth to come.
The vast throng of the stars bestows upon Gaia the Communion Kiss of all in all.
Silently slumbering Her limbs curl around the cold world. Starlight floods Her darkened flesh."

The Goddess awakens in gloom of numbed earth.
As the Sun turns North once more, life jubilantly strikes its new spark from the naked elements.
In the womb of Winter's sleep stirs the solstice seed of the Sun.
She awakens, the Goddess awakens."

The babe lowers. Torchlit processions lead the Goddess out of the Underworld.
Her Belly is fully stretched. The head of the Holy Infant drops for delivery.
Slush from snows thawing off the heights, and mud from new rains signal the bursting of the water sack."

The days grow longer than the nights. In torrents of Spring, the Moon Maid unfolds to buds unsheathing.
In torrents of Spring, the Sun Babe is born to sap arising.
The Goddess of Nature gives birth to the God of the Year. Delivery changes the Goddess into a Maiden.
She and the God exchange the dainties of childhood."

From the end a new beginning!"

Original Appendices to the Yearly Festivals:
Originally, there was more than just the festivals. During the project Fred and Svetlana sent a lot of explanations and schemes to Phaedrus to explain the Feraferia system
to him. It was decided to add this material to the festivals, by cutting it up in pieces which would become an appendix to the ritual text.
Because now we have the opportunity to offer this material in a completely bw way, these appendices wil be treated as seperate texts which by way of this index can be
looked up easily. However, each text will mention the original place where it appeared in the early books.
Eco-Psychic Mandala and Calendar : Original appendix to the Ostara Ceremony.
The Four Classical Elements : Original appendix 1 to the Beltane Ceremony.
The Enneasphere and the Unicursal Polygrams of the Nine Spheres : Original appendix 2 to the Beltane Ceremony.
The Feraferian Cross on Rose : Original appendix 3 to the Beltane Ceremony.
The Enneasphere, Archetypal Landscapes and the Tarot Trumps : Original appendix 4 to the Beltane Ceremony.

Some Orphic Hymns : Original appendix to the Pomona Ceremony.
To Perform the Pythala : Original appendix to the Pomona Ceremony.
Seasonal Colour Table : Original appendix to the Samhain Ceremony.

Other Feraferia Texts from the Same Project:
Then there were the countless other texts Phaedrus received during the project. Some were published as seperate small books, some appeared in a translated version in
the Dutch 'Brandhout' magazin. In time they too will be offered to the public by way of this website.
The Ethers of Aphrodite (coming soon)
All Seasonal Rituals were originally published by Feraferia and Phaedrus.
Now one by one, these rituals will be published on this site.
