Original Appendices to the Yearly Festivals:

Originally published as an appendix to the Festival of Samhain.


Every Feraferia seasonal festival has it’s own colours for the altar or festive table settings and the pole erected in the centre ring of the henge.

1. Ostara:

Pink and blue - pink pole.
Child Gods; birds on bare branches.
2. Beltane:

Turquoise and hot pink - turquoise pole.
Adolescence; full flowering fruit trees.
3. Hymenaea :

Chartreuse and gold - chartreuse pole.
Gods of the Sacred Marriage; greening fruits.
4. Lammas :

Yellow and beige - yellow pole.
Gods of the Holy Honeymoon; mature fruits.
5. Pomona :

Light orange and light brown - light orange pole.
Gods of Wilderness and Wildness; falling leaves.
6. Samhain :

Dark orange and black -dark orange pole.
Gods of Death and the Spark of new souls; rotting.
7. Repose :

Black and white - half black and half white pole.
The Creatrix of Universes and Divinities; Earth rests.
8. Yule :

Green and red or cerise - dark green pole.
Gods of Maturity and Remarriage; barren trees.
9. Oimelc :

Electric blue and purple - purple pole.
Gods of Cleansing Waters; growth of new branches.
